Removing Hair without a procedure might cost you

September 7, 2008

There are many offers for people looking for a solution to unsightly hair. Some are very costly, but not as effective.  Others seem outre and typically the claims are not authenticated. One method that I have recently heard about is using tweezers or patches that send radio frequencies through the hair and painlessly pull it out.  I thought it was a little far fetched, but I decided to try that method of hair removal and see if it had some, if any, basis in fact.

I started with the tweezers and decided to see if the individual hairs would remove.  The tweezers were charged ready to go. They had a small coil that sent the “radio frequencies” down to the hair follicles.  I waited some time, but if you tried to pull it out, it felt just like pulling it out with regular tweezers.

Well then, onto the patches that came with the kit.  They were supposed to work with the gel that was on it, sending the frequency through any hair that the gel touched.  I waited a while and checked. No hair was coming out, just clammy skin.  I tried it on different areas of my skin, and nothing. I think it is safe to say that radio frequencies are ineffective as a hair removal method.
